AT GOD'S TABLE
FOOD JUSTICE FOR A HEALTHY WORLD
April 5-8, 2013
The Ecumenical Advocacy Days conference is a national gathering of men and women of faith who want to be a force for change for the betterment of all. Grounded in biblical witness and shared traditions of justice, peace and integrity of creation, more than 700 people, from 55 different faith-based organizations, meet with the goal to strengthen the Christian voice and mobilize for advocacy on specific U.S. domestic and international policy issues.
"At God's Table" focused on the Farm Bill debate, specifically to raise support for ending hunger, improving nutrition, creating more just and sustainable food systems and protection God's creation. A weekend of intensive dialogue, training and inspiration culminated in Monday's Lobby Day, when UPCWO representatives advocated, in discussions with aides to our representatives in the House and Senate, for a "Faithful Federal Budget."
